Dr Brijesh A Patel
MBBS, DA (ANAESTHESIA), IDCCM (CRITICAL CARE MEDICINE)
He has completed MBBS from B.J.Medical collage, Ahmedabad and also completed Diplona in Anaesthesia from institute of Kidney Disease and Research center, Civil Campus, Ahmedabad. He had completed his Critical Care medicine fellowship from Jaslok Hospital and He cleared IDCCM exam. His Special intrest is providing critical care services. He is instructor of BLS/ACLS courses of American heart association. He is incharge of Spandan emergency and Critical care hospital.
Dr. Varun R Patel
MB, DNB (Respiratory Medicine –GOLD Medal), DTCD
He is the youngest member of the group. He completed his DNB from Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS), Kochi and was awarded the GOLD medal. He has presented many papers in various State, National and International conferences. He has active interest in interventional pulmonology especially in pleural pathology, rigid bronchoscopy, stenting & sleep medicine. In his brief stint at ASHRAI, Dr.Varun has emerged as an energetic, dedicated and resolute doctor, who has won the respect of his peers.
Dr. Gopal Raval
MB, DNB (Respiratory Medicine), DTCD, FCCS (Critical care)
He is a charismatic pulmonary and critical care specialist, who is practicing in Ahmedabad since last 7 years; He completed his training in Pulmonary and Critical Care medicine from Jaslok Hospital and Bhatia Hospital Mumbai. He was a research fellow in an international study of asthma and allergic conditions in children (ISAAC). He is an instructor for fundamental critical care support (FCCS), conducted by society of critical care medicine USA. His area of interest is critical care, obstructive airway disorders & sleep medicine. He has taken additional training in Sleep Medicine from Indian Institute of Sleep Sciences, Mumbai. He is also Serving as an ACLS & BLS Instructor, conducted by American Heart Association.
Dr. Amrish Patel
M.B., DTCD, FCC (Fellow in critical care)
He is one of the new generations of pulmonary and critical care specialists. With his meticulous work and attention to detail, Dr. Amrish has carved a niche for himself in Field of Critical Care in Gujarat. He is the back bone of critical care services at ASHRAI. His areas of interest besides Critical Care are Interventional Pulmonology and Obstructive airway diseases. He is a core member of the liver transplant team.
Dr. Raj Bhagat
MD (General Medicine)
Dr. Bhagat heads the division of Allergy and Immunology at ASHRAI. He has inherited this legacy from his prestigious father – Dr. Gautam Bhagat – the father of Allergy in Gujarat. He has completed his MD in Internal Medicine from Gujarat University in 1998 with a Gold Medal. He is an Ex-Associate Professor of Medicine at the LG Hospital. He has published several articles in “The Indian Practitioner” and “Gujarat Medical Journal”. His areas of interest include Asthma, Allergy and Immunotherapy. He has to his credit the installation of “RAST by UNICAP 100″ – the first of its kind Allergy testing equipment in Gujarat, with extremely high specificity to detect in vitro allergens. He has also instituted the 1st time sublingual Immunotherapy which has the benefits of no reaction, no infection and self medication.
Dr. Tushar Patel
M.D. (Chest), F.C.C.P, M.C.A.I.
Following his post graduation from BJ medical college, Dr.Tushar Patel has received further training at CVTC, K.E.M. Hospital and Jaslok Hospital, Mumbai. He has special interest in occupational lung diseases. He is a Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians. His areas of expertise includes tuberculosis, obstructive airway disorders Sleep Disorders and pulmonary function tests.
Dr. Mukesh Patel
M.D. (Chest), DTCD
He is a highly skilled, experienced and dynamic pulmonary and critical carespecialist, practicing in Ahmedabad since the last 12 years. He has received comprehensive training from KEM hospital and Jaslok Hospital Mumbai. He has also completed an Observorship in Interventional Pulmonology from Cleveland Clinic, USA. He is the first pulmonologist in country to start medical pleuroscopies and has to his credit the maximum number of medical pleuroscopies in the country. He has extensive experience in interventional pulmonary procedures including fibreoptic bronchoscopy and thoracscopy. His areas of interest in addition to Interventional Pulmonology include non-resolving pneumonias and pleural pathologies.
Dr. Harjit Dumra
M.D. (Medicine Gold Medal)
Following his post graduation in Medicine with top honours, Dr.Harjit Dumra completed his specialization in pulmonary & critical care medicine from KEM hospital Mumbai. He has also completed multiple observorships – Critical Care from Hinduja Hospital, Mumbai, Sleep Medicine from Safdarjang Hospital, Delhi and Lung Transplantation from Cleveland Clinic USA. He is the chief intensivist, Liver Transplant at Sterling Hospital and chief, Infection Control Committee at Medisurge Hospital, Ahmedabad. Dr. Harjit is a respected National and International Faculty and has delivered talks on various topics across the country. His areas of interests are Critical care, Pulmonary Fibrosis (ILD), Pulmonary hypertension and Diagnostic Dilemmas.
